Mold Damage

Please call for a free visual inspection.

If you suspect that you have mold, it is best to have your property inspected quickly to avoid further potential contamination of your home. The longer the mold is able to grow, the more costly the remediation process will be.

The State of Florida has a mold regulation that prevents mold remediators, such as AADisaster Restoration24/7, Inc. from performing assessments. We can, however, provide you with an initial visual inspection and refer you to local inspectors who are both certified and qualified if a mold assessment is needed. After a mold assessment, if you find that you have mold, we can help you with your remediation needs.

AADisaster Restoration24/7, Inc. is licensed with the State of Florida (Kevin Koch Lic. #MRSR31), and certified in mold remediation with the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC). We strictly follow the remediation guidelines as set forth in the IICRC S520 Mold Remediation Standards. We currently service the entire S.W. Florida area including Charlotte County, Lee County, Sarasota County, Collier County and Desoto County.

Common Causes

If you have mold in your home, chances are your home is or has experienced some sort of moisture intrusion issue.  There are several possibilities as to what the moisture issue is.  It could be a slow leak in an area that is not visible to the naked eye.  Another possibility is a flood that was not correctly or completely dried.

It is important to also note that humidity can play a huge part in promoting mold growth.  If your home is not properly cooled or is not consistently within a normal range of relative humidity, it may create what is referred to as a humidity bloom.

A humidity bloom often occurs throughout a residence whose relative humidity is not kept at the recommended range of 30 to 55%.

What are molds?

Molds are types of fungi that are found in nature and need moisture to grow.  While they are found everywhere, high levels of molds can have serious repercussions.  Mold spores can travel easily through the air and can be ingested by inhalation, which can lead to respiratory difficulties.

How can I prevent mold growth after a water loss in my home?

Time is of the essence.  Water losses must be dried quickly and effectively.   AADisaster Restoration24/7 uses state of the art drying equipment and techniques to do just that.

How can I prevent mold growth through proper maintenance?

The humidity level in your home is an important item when dealing with mold prevention.  Use a humidistat to regulate the humidity in your home to the recommended levels.  Most experts recommend a humidity level of 30 to 55%.

Should I use bleach on mold?
