Common Causes

If you have mold in your home, chances are your home is or has experienced some sort of moisture intrusion issue.  There are several possibilities as to what the moisture issue is.  It could be a slow leak in an area that is not visible to the naked eye.  Another possibility is a flood that was not correctly or completely dried.

It is important to also note that humidity can play a huge part in promoting mold growth.  If your home is not properly cooled or is not consistently within a normal range of relative humidity, it may create what is referred to as a humidity bloom.

A humidity bloom often occurs throughout a residence whose relative humidity is not kept at the recommended range of 30 to 55%.
