What can I do to protect my property from a fire?

Have fire extinguishers – You should have at least one within easy access.

Install smoke detectors and check the batteries often.

Never leave a heated appliance unattended.

Keep all matches, lighters and candles away from children.

Never leave an open flame unattended.

Don’t overload your home’s electrical system.

Make sure your house number is visibly posted so firefighters can easily identify your home in the event of a fire emergency.

Have an emergency plan.

Document by video or digital photo all of your contents and store these in a safe location.

Be sufficiently insured – make sure you have the right amount and type of coverage.

How can AAD help me after a fire?

We are experienced, certified and insured and our priority is minimizing your loss.  Our technicians are continually updating their training and are certified by the respected IICRC.  We will do our best to restore those items that are not a total loss by cleaning your contents.  As an additional service to our customers, we will inventory your damaged and restorable contents both in writing and in photograph.

AAD also owns its own secure and climate controlled storage facility to house customer contents until the property is fully restored.  We also work diligently with your insurance adjuster to better expedite your insurance claim.
